September 28th Market Minutes

Welcome to Market Minutes! Each week before our Wednesday Market, we will give you special events and vendors to look forward to.

Wednesday: September 28th, 2022

3:00PM: We're OPEN!

Check out our vendor lineup at the bottom of this post!

We have only 3 markets left of the first season of the Amesbury Farmers' Market, so we hope you can join us the next few Wednesdays! We are excited to announce in December we are opening a Winter Market indoors at 12 Oakland Street inside BareWolf Brewing! Interested in vending this winter? Fill out an application on our website!

3:30PM: The Amesbury Public Library's hosts children's activities and crafts each week with kid's activities.

This week, you can find the Kids' Space inside the entryway of BareWolf Brewing.

4:00PM - 7:00PM: Live music outdoors with Lee Biddle!

Lee Biddle is an American Singer-Songwriter from Newburyport Massachusetts. By day he is a teacher at a Montessori School and by night he enjoys playing music at any venues looking for an acoustic set. His voice has been compared to folk legends Jim Croce and Gordon Lightfoot which comes as no surprise as they are two of his greatest heroes and sources for inspiration.

The Amesbury Cultural Council

WHO THEY ARE

We are a Local Cultural Council (LCC), one of 329 LCCs throughout the state of Massachusetts. This program, established in 1982, empowers towns and municipalities to provide financial support to artists, creators, educators, and cultural influencers in their own communities. The Massachusetts' LCC program is the largest of its kind in the country.

The Amesbury Cultural Council is a group of local volunteers, appointed by the Mayor, who come from all walks of life to help promote and facilitate cultural activities and the arts in Amesbury.

WHAT THEY DO

The Council oversees the distribution of Massachusetts Cultural Council grants, organizes the annual Amesbury Open Studios, supports and promotes public art projects and events throughout the town, manages the quarterly Art@City Hall exhibit, and more. We are entirely run by volunteers — outside of the grant cycle, we fund, staff, execute, and manage all of our own initiatives.

EXPLORE

Take a look around our site to learn more about our programs and local cultural community. Better yet, join us at our next meeting!
